Racism

Mr. Tea

Let's Talk About Ceps
“One of the water pistols being played with was blue and white and one was pink and white, and unmistakably toys, it added.”

Yeah, no excuse really.
Yeah, I mean you can get realistic-looking toy guns, or you used to be able to get them - they're probably banned now, precisely to avoid this sort of thing. Sounds like there's no excuse here at all, as you say.

They've clearly had aNerf. I wonder whether it's harder for police to judge a firearm fake now that all manner of lethal weapon can be 3D printed. Incidentally, this is fundamentally liberal parents' fault: by prohibiting their children from gunplay they have denormalised it.

To be fair you should expect police to jump on you at the merest suggestion of firearms because it could be concealed or disguised and the expected value of doing something rather than doing nothing is heavily biased by the massive negative equity of being dead.

The more racist thing would be to adopt a wait-and-see approach to potential attacks on the race in question.

I don't think there's anything that worries me more than the way the Internet, particularly YouTube and Twitter, have normalised racism. This is something I find massively distressing. How should we solve it?

It's not like we ever eradicated it but there's no doubt we've regressed massively.

I opened this thread and it went back to the start and I happened to read the first post again. It's true I'm sure... but I think even more so with sexism. I hear people say stuff that I thought had been eradicated from the discussion(s) years ago "Feminists are fat and ugly and can't get a man" type stuff - what's the racist equivalent? I bet it's being said too.

What blows my mind is not just how bad ie racist these things are that people say, but also that these "arguments" have been blown out of the water years ago, everyone should know they are wrong. It's like in maths if you had to go back and prove Pythagoras' Theorem every few years cos some red-pilled morons have popped up contesting it.

I don't think people realise just how widespread Islamophobia is in the west. Here's the bottom line: you're Islamophobic when you mock or insult Islam but when you're made aware of Islamic teaching on a particular matter and you choose to ignore it are you not mocking or insulting Islam in doing so. You are not in a position to judge whether it's broadly right or wrong, only to interpret the nuance once you are made aware of it.

To cut a long story short: how can you spot an Islamophobe? An Islamophobe is someone who's given the chance to become a Muslim by a greater authority and decides not to.

what the fuck are you talking about
If you're doing something that is against Islamic teaching of which you are aware, then you are holding the teaching in the same contempt that the popular conception of an Islamophobe would hold explicitly.

I think the Koran holds this line, as far as I remember from reading it a long time ago.
