I arrived in a Bogota a month ago not long before a heavily policed lockdown was implemented, haven't got to meet many people apart from work colleagues and mostly through online discussions so pretty weird situation. I'd rather be here with work to do then stuck at home but the prospect of social unrest is a little worrisome. Been drinking whiskey quite a bit and doing yoga.

I'm getting to be a shaggy bastard, grows bushy as opposed to long. had to postpone a haircut appointment the week before everything went to shit and now looks like I'm in it for the long haul. won't be easy for me or my wife to try cutting it on our own, probably just trim the sideburns, shave the neck and let my freak flag fly for everything else.
I felt like a piece of shit today until lunch when I did my horrible resistance band workout, then showered. then felt human for the first time all day. Not walking to work (well, walking between various train stations), not walking around at lunch, it's taking its toll.
rowing has been a saving grace, physically and mentally. zone out and get into the repetitive groove for 30-40 minutes. it's the "music's better with you" of exercise.
