from the perspective of the countryside a lot of the things people are interested in in the cities seem vain and silly. talking about novelty restaurants and how much they love being around diversity. it's an understated thread, the disdain that is generated when you're living in the countryside and looking at the people in the city. the people there look like they're flapping around throwing tenners away on nothing at all.
you feel stupid in your prissy clothes too.

I'm visiting my parents in the county for a week and jesus I dunno how people can do it

It's weird cos on paper it seems like living in a peaceful place with a garden etc is a lot of people's idea of the good life

Maybe when I hit 60 I'll agree but for now it's like living death

Unable to take joy in the simple things

But you know I remember living here as a teenager and wanting to get out so fucking badly

Only playstation and my lyricist lounge cds kept me sane

what makes Gus, Gus, is hes a country boy trying to fit into the city and getting it wrong every time. he doesnt have city nerves
