I made a huge blunder in my first experience with marmite. I imagined it was a spread along the lines of peanut butter, so instead of putting a very thin layer on toast, I applied an enormous slab about a third of an inch deep and took a big bite before any of my English friends could warn me (or, more likely, they were fully aware of my blunder and eagerly awaiting what was about to happen).
I think everyone here should try a banana shake. Frozen banana, glass of milk, big tablespoon of smooth peanut butter (if it's UK PB, add some sugar maybe) all blended up
