There were two tracks you played around the half hour mark that sounded almost Turkish... I think you said one was Croatian but that doesn't sound right, maybe that was the one before...

Yes! The first one was Šaban Bajramovič who was Serbian Roma, and after that was Ajrus Osmanovič who’s Serbian-Montenegrin. I mean, they’re all Yugoslav but I guess that could be a controversial assertion

Cos Liza was going "this isn't Slavic" (again) and I said but I thought that Croatians were Slavs and she said yeeees probably and... it was all bollocks anyway cos that must have been the previous song. Anyway thank you, it's obviously a minefield... though - to mix my metaphors - you did wade into it of your own accord so...

I dunno, we just take the parameters of Slavland to be anywhere that drinks Rakija and hangs carpets on the wall, but maybe that's problematic. I mean, no-one's gonna start a war over our little radio show
