Nice catch! Noel said in an interview for Guitar World that he kept shouting "Jimmy Page! Jimmy Page!" when they were recording this, trying to capture that sound. I too think he did a pretty good job!

I've met Liam Gallagher (briefly): he was playing a quiz machine in Highgate and asked me for help with an answer.
