I know it's clichéd to say some underground black metal is sick/insane/avant, but it really can be, sometimes. I'm not about to go out and start buying it but sometimes wish I knew more of the craziest, out there bands. probably deserves its own thread, not sure if one exists. anyone here know this stuff?

someone mentioned lost highway & rammstein earlier in the thread - I think david lynch is fascinated with head injuries and he makes an association between brutal head trauma and distorted metal guitars, like in these scenes. that's what they evoke. when you listen to metal too loud on headphones it feels like brainfreeze
