I've just been reading act 3

Then had a look on the gruniad and read about the Bayesian superyacht sinking somewhat mysteriously with the billionaire on board and realised it's a bit like the tempest

It's stuck me this time that Caliban's "be not afeared" speech is a sort of twin to propsero's "our revels now have ended". Both speeches intended to calm the interlocutor down at the sight of magic (or in prospero/Ferdinand's case, magic disappearing) that take a melancholy turn around the subject of "dreams".

Which is certainly interesting, given prospero and Caliban's relationship

And ofc there's all sorts of mirroring going on, the two conspiracies (vs. Alonso and Vs prospero) etc.

I've previously found it a bit formless and meandering but with careful attention I can see how it's designed
