The only thing that will interest historians of America, looking back on the period from 1990-2020, will be what the US did to prepare for China, continue shoring up its global leadership position, etc. And the answer will be "very little." And therein will be spelled our doom.I'm certainly not convinced that the west is at its end. It may end up stronger than ever, depending on how this invasion pans out. Beyond that, I guess it depends on whether or not China can capture the next couple big tech innovation waves better than US can.
