There was an interesting show on the radio over lunch about the history of sociology and it's influence in journalism. Naturally, this masterpiece came up


This was the weekly herald of the latest bulletin from the front on reality and decline throughout my childhood, and it's a fucking wig out Hammond monster when it gets going. Fucking incredible piece of music. I gather the organist wasn't even paid or credited for it, which sounds standard. What else is like this?

I've realised that's the monologue from Network, rather than a yippie in the studio at the time, but fits like a glove, right?

Anyway, I'm like a fish in water amid this early 80s hyperdoom redux were living through. Once the internet goes dark, culture will get interesting again.
