this is 10/10 for me for sure, rinsed it this year. there's some kind of rich seam of JA / Caribbean influenced pop that I don't know the name of, that i've been really into in 2022.

This is the dark, murky, swampy, nausea-inducing, paranoid autotune dancehall tune that me and Barty were really into early this year for a while, maybe the closest thing to something new in 2022, not really followed up on by much else and absolutely no fun at all but here it is.



I've given up smoking weed since then so I can't listen to it anymore but it's definitely something.

Sort of tune that makes you feel all dirty and depressed after listening to it, not what you'd normally associate with dancehall music. Compelling but ultimately unhealthy for the mind, body and soul.

Yeah, a lot of trap dancehall invokes that feeling and brik pon brik is probably the biggest tune that kicked it all off. Find it all hard to deal with at the moment, too nihilistic. Amazing music though.

Really like this one as it goes. The most "finnegans wake" one yet. And the odd little details like his "no problemo" hoodie, the shot of the "giant" loaf of bread, his bucket hat.

I haven't listened to any of them yet tbh. I'm refusing to even listen to corpseys choices cos he admitted they weren't 10 out of 10 despite the thread title!

I think that FLO tune I posted is slight maybe but perfect for what it is. I like the Skeng tune Shaka posted but his best stuff came out in 2021. Bandulu riddim in the first post is gorgeous dreamy psychedelic rnb dancehall, still love it.
