better than the book club we never do for obvious reasons.

rules: read story and review and reflect and show off, the person with the best response is chosen by story sharer to choose next one

I asked Claude to recommend a couple of short stories and it came back with The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas (le Guin) and The Lottery (Jackson), both short tales about individuals who suffer for the Greater Good. Poor Claude.

I like Rick Bass' short stories and strongly recommend The Hermit's Story from the collection of the same name, The Cave (also from that collection).

boring and patronising. You and Luke trade on this forum legacy but isn’t cool… you’re literally 50 years old lads act accordingly
As a 50 year old man, I'm ordering you to go fuck yourself, and to do so real quietly.

Stalking around in here spilling lager on the ladies, twitching and sniffing in your Stone Island. Tsk.

Tried reading some Murakami short stories, but they are shockingly twee. Do not recommend.
