Plenty of people are opposed to Taylor Swift, Marvel films, whatever else. They just don't seem that important when you look at what else is going on. You'd have to be incredibly callous and/or insulated for pop music to be "the enemy" at the moment.

Only time I hear any current stuff is out in the retail world. Feels like the music is made for that environment. Puts you in a weird trance like headspace until you snap out of it and realize what you're listening to, which is usually when I tend to clench up and it all starts to get a little Guantanamo'y. Like it's just washes of texture and melodramatic females doing baby goo goos and vocal fry at this point

I never thought of it as the enemy. I mean, I think Autechre should be playing in tk max. I don't dislike pop music, I am just left indifferent by most contemporary pop music.
