another great mix!

da massive seem to be sleeeping on this mix, but it's one of the best - from funky soulful openers through the deep dark Dillinja/Hype mid-section to a tearing rinseout, it rolls and steps BIG

Fuuuck! Totally missed this... you really have to keep an eye on this place.

On the PM now... 'The Beats... The Beats... The Beats Booyaa!'

Gotta love that tune.

Have you had a chance to check out those Naphta mixes yet Paul?

this sounds great paul - some more of my favourite tracks on here, especially the johnny jungle "cops" remix. just love those effusive darkcore squeals low down in the mix and the dread bass.

could you please pm me the url?

- is that a sampled dying pacman sound in there too, around 33.30?!

chess->swordfight->....pacman "you must think first...before you move" - it all fits ;)

Stupendous mix!

And what glorious, powerful, complex, luscious stuff from 93/94, like some hydroponic genetically enhanced flowering of hardcores' brilliant but weed-like mutations (by comparison) only a year or two previously... the level of micro-detail at every level while maintaining the rolling groove...

Out of interest Paul - are some of those fantastic delay effects on DJ Crystl: Warpdrive your's or all Crystl's? They're quite something on headphones.

93 - 94 is definitely my favourite period. its got this kind of melancholic wistfulness that was lost later.

Absolutely, it's just amazing that after just a couple of years of evolution jungle was doing... this... just the most sophisticated, advanced, rich, atmospheric, challenging yet mental music ever made...

They are a bit nifty aren't they? :) This mix has effects ALL OVER it. Hence the totally fucked up Tom & Jerry track, like a jungle version of DJ Sneak, this ridiculously filtered, phasey, sound drifting off into stoned near silent reverie, before the bassline drops in on a wave of echo...

... then it gets a bit rufff...

I'm really glad everyone liked it.
