London's legendary Kosmische club is now into its 10th year of providing a home for krautrock, Japanese noise, minimal electronic pop, Neue Deutsche Welle (late 70s/early 80s German New Wave), 8bit/electro, experimental electronics and other underground music past and present. As well as resident DJs, the live acts featured over the years are too numerous to mention but include V/Vm and Damo Suzuki, with whom Kosmische DJs played at the last ATP Festival.

Recent playlists cover Sun Ra, Can, Neu!, Boredoms, DAF, Der Plan, Kevin Blechdom, Felix Kubin, Throbbing Gristle, Ruins, Kraftwerk, Devo, Coil, Captain Beefheart, The Residents, Amon Duul ...

romvelope
(adaadat)
Romvelope, aka Bjørn Hatleskog, co-founder of the Adaadat label (DJ Scotch Egg, Ommm, The Accountant, DJ 100000000) makes `21st century car crash pop songs' where manic Felix Kubin/Mouse on Mars-style 8-bit melodies meet everything from electro and hip-hop to disco, country and western, interspersed with experimental noise. For fans of Soft Pink Truth and Jason Forrest/Donna Summer.
Tonight Romvelope will use his recently created new live setup.

Back at Bad Timing for the first time since last summer, MFU brings you retro-futuristic Moog tunes, space soundtracks and avant-garde noise with influences from Sun Ra and Stockhausen to Jean-Jacques Perrey and The Fall.

sculpture

Sculpture is the work of Dan Hayhurst who breathes life into old old tape machines creating the most blissful music of the future, melding tape loops and synths. Think Black Dice meets radiophonics/plunderphonics.

um
(strange lights, tripel)
Always a difficult artist to do justice to in writing, a recent write-up describes him as
`Cambridge's favourite son deliver[ing] a hop-scotch of disparate styles and production techniques that range from V/VM style cartoontronica through to mahogany folk songs covered in tarnished pink glitter' (boomkat)
