LOLErika Lipkke looks a lot like what I imagine Bataille meant when he said "solar anus"
I imagine that line would get her in the sack pretty much straight away.

Just got it off ebay "buy it now" for about twenty euros I think."It's definitely a bit bizarre and on the edge. I hate the term 'outsider', but I think you can't deny this guy 'means it', there's little sense of self censorship. Glad you liked it, mostly - where'd you get the vinyl?
I think it's beautiful actually - a 'real' visionary psychedelic record and from a point in time when that was a totally unfashionable thing."
I'd kind of agree with that, some of the sounds do sound like scratches."COMMENTS : extremely RARE psych and funk breaks LP, album put out by Electro Harmonix to show how their analog guitar electronic effects worked. Six tracks played by a funky studio band (two guitars, bass & drums) loaded by all kind of weird effects (Big Muff, Smallstone, Memory Man, Octave Multiplexer, Doctor Q, Bad Stone, Golden Throat...) Highlights are the super funky jams of "EM" & "2-4-5" and the monster, nearly side-long track "I am not a synthetizer", crazy electro funk full of weird effects and wild guitar, it sounds like an alien from outer space doing scratch!! really insane!! must be heard"
Lyrics Of Love does crack me up. And I'm not sure where he's going with the whole Disco American thing. :slanted: There's a moment on one of the songs where he sings 'we split the dimensions, and traveled much faster than three times the speed of light' where in combination with the music it sounds like he knows exactly what he's talking about.Just got it off ebay "buy it now" for about twenty euros I think.
There are definitely moments of beauty conjured up out of the feedback and the electronic noises. I actually haven't listened to it that much because I loaned it to my girlfriend for some reason soon after getting it.

Funny for years synth lps seemed to be considered to gauche an influence for electronic musicians to acknowledge...leaving the ground open for the "noise" underground...this was just been reissued on bread and animals...nice crude loner synth lp. actually has more of a library music feel, not as "kosmiche" as i was expecting. very nice.
Hmm. 'Synth lps' and 'electronic musicians' sound like slightly nebulous categories if you don't mind my saying so.Funny for years synth lps seemed to be considered to gauche an influence for electronic musicians to acknowledge...leaving the ground open for the "noise" underground...

I think the bigger names of shall we say 'less outre' synth music (JMJ, Vangelis, Tomita,
Cosmos. There's a couple of good bits on that IIRC. I think anyway.I'll admit to a Tomita lp- the one with a hideous version of the star wars theme! the cover art on those lps...![]()
I'll try and 'up' it later if I can find my CD.
I should point out that it may be a bootleg - the provenance is questionable, anyone know how to tell?"Twenty euros for the happy dragon band lp was a score- ive seen it for ridiculous money. It's a great album!"
A bit more on the Rainbow Generator trail:Rainbow Generator - Dance Of The Spheres.

"That was about the time...that we lost our time"
I think the cod reggae immediately kills it for some people...
anyway...on a similar-ish note...
