I quite like this Fugitive thingamabob by Illmana. My only gripe with it is that it might fit better in the feminist sausagefest thread

also now i think about it there was a mix of yours on soundcloud zhao that to my surprise had quite a few tracks leaning towards distorted student house too!

not that anyone gives a damn but needs clarification:

am not and never have been against the use of any sound palettes. but when a palette becomes an overused gimmick, because it gets a reaction easily, and the music itself suffers because of its use, that's when i turn away in disgust.

student/blog house digi-distortion can be compared to day-glow florescent colors. of course you can use it in fashion, architecture, painting, to good and even great effect. but when a lot of people see how easy it is to get people's attention with it and jump on the trend, creating boatloads of day glow bullshit with very little artistic merit, we have a problem.

Corpsey UK Funky report 2012 pt. 23: Had a great time dancing in a tent with my mates to a David M Sub FM mix at a festival a few weekends ago. Thank-you UK funky.

Most of the house music getting played at said festival was nice enough but comparatively bland.
