artist bios:

Elemental

North london studio don Elemental began production in the early 90’s with just a Roland D5 and Atari ST, slowly building up toward releases on Destructive Recs, Hotflush, Pitch Black, Halo Beats, Runtime Records and now Combat.

Absorbing bubstep and it’s peripheral mutant forms, Elemental's live sets
are nothing short of astounding, deep, textured and considered; a fluid block of sound with spooky old Photek overtones, with interlocking rhythms, dirty dirty basslines and surging dark subs.

Threnody

Stafford based Threnody makes tracks that occupy the uncertain space between dubstep, breakstep and electronica. These works of deep, brooding sounds, broken breaks, fragmented vocals and low-end destructive bass have ended up in the hands of DJs like Mary Anne Hobbs, Rob Surgeon, Stormfield and have found their way onto various labels such as Creative Space, Urban Graffiti, Red Volume and now Combat. His forthcoming remix of Scorn certainly doesn’t disappoint: a sludgy, tracky monster armed with razor sharp beats and furious rhythms and a huge rising sub. Dark, bleak and beautiful at the same time.

Stormfield

Combat boss and someone who hates writing about himself so this will be brief. Tunes will be dropped that hint at the sonic violence to be unleashed at gigs in Latvia (November), London (December) and Moscow (January). Freestyle laptop and dubsiren vibes.
