Foot and Mouth is a series of experimental radio programmes exploring the sound-sprawl of Hackney. Nick Hamilton drifts through the borough, recording its ambience in his mp3 spirit vial. Catching the voices of fellow psychogeographers and wanderlust addicts, fact and fiction collide amidst bursts of noise. Foot and mouth is a psychogeophonic meditation on Hackney.
The first episode is based around a conversation between Xavier Zapata and Iain Sinclair. The voices trace a trajectory around Hackney's edgelands, taking in the Lower Lea Valley and Hackney Wick where the hulking skeleton of the Olympic Park is growing.
