How are the Taliban doing in terms of government? Deserving yet of international recognition as a state actor? I doubt it but I haven't been keeping up.
edit: that is, "deserving" in the eyes of UN, I suppose.
it's still reading the tea leaves a bit, but overall, shite i would say. zero attempt at inclusion of literally any other faction in the government. healthcare has totally stopped as I understand it, the NGOs that ran the whole government health system haven't been paid so have stopped working. government offices still not open so no services at all. people are moving from kabul to kandahar because the economy is less of a mess and things are more organized down there. they're beating up protesters and gender segregating universities (even more than they already were).
worse than i expected. i think they're fucking it to be honest. but i don't have good information on all of this and might be out of date, missing things, emphasizing some things. another friend asked me for money last week, who isn't the type, so economically speaking i think things are pretty bad
