Not really a fan of that release to be fair. I expected quite a lot but it doesn't really do anything special for me... solid tracks but rather 'meh'. I think they just got bored and gave Soul Jazz any old riddimz or sommit.

ah come on.. the mala tune is well nice!

Dusk and Blackdown are probably 1st in the radio stakes at the moment
Definitely doing the best show for me the last while.

Moth / Wolf cub still completely dominates the Four Tet vs Dubstep producer 12 inch stakes in Dr Awesomeland.

I don't wish to be crucified for questioning his Mala-ness but I really think this 12 is probobly the least interesting thing he's done in some time. imo, obviously.

'Don't Let Me Go' isn't a bad tune. It's head and shoulders above what most people consider "dubstep" these days, but compared to Mala's other material, it doesn't quite hold up.

The Mala track has grown on me, I find with his tunes I either love them straight away or I don't love them then I love them after listening through a few times. Theres never usually another outcome haha.

Here's something I'm enjoying at the moment...

it's on a label that probably isn't very well known but I think this is alot better than alot of tunes that are hyped these days.

Dr. Pytor - "Gimme A Break Won't You" on F.4.T Music

Maybe it's not even out and out dubstep... but either way, I like it !

i don't care what anyone says, i think his tunes are deep and nothing like brostep, even his so called "bangers" like robotnik, shock it and tree trunk

there's a few tracks up at www.myspace.com/cokidigital

was just fondly remembering Sound Boy (or Just One of Those Days, or whatever it's called)...

nice spot on that Grab Somebody clip... what a tune... so glad its coming out, a long time coming now.

not a new one but i like a lot of that jakes hench mixtape from a while back. lots of thick, oddly funky, and rarely leaden wobble type stuff done really well.

Benji B's show from Sunday with Loefah and the Swamp81 showcase is quality. Some amount of outstanding music coming from Instra:mental & Bodika, I'm really in favour of a Detroit resurgence in dance music at the moment, hopefully it can have the same effect as Chicago's sound has over the last couple of years, with the way House has been pushed & accepted in more underground clubs and how Juke has gained more popularity over the last 12 months. I like the more straight laced Juke stuff as opposed to the footworky tracks anyway, so if people started to take on some of the more Detroit/Ghettotech production sensibilities then that'd be right up my street.

Have a listen if you haven't done so already, it's up on the iplayer til Sunday.
