Marcus big ups Tim at 41:15 in his Dec. 8th set!

edit: What's the tune he wheels at 1:09:00? Like three times...

Haha, it's possible there's more than one Tim F out there...

Yeah I've been wondering about that tune for about a month now.

He's a german producer I think. He gave away a really good tune called Space Tribal somewhere on the internet a while back, but I can't seem to find the link anywhere now.

There's two Smoke-off-ski eps (Devine recordings camp) for sale on itunes and amazon now. 'The funky explorah' seems to be the best one, very grime-influenced.

Yeah that's the guy. Space Tribal also makes an appearence on the show, good tune.
Going to pick up those Smokeoffski bits from iTunes just now, I liked the youtubes you posted of them.

you can get this on Juno now off one of those unmixed supa dupa comps

Result! I was totally expecting this to be one of the tunes that were held back from release for ages until everyone had forgotten/stopped caring about it. Glad to get proved wrong.

re Klambu – Bassjackers & Apster (DJ Seany B Re-Edit), does anyone know if this is 1Xtra's Seany B?

Seany B's got a show on live fm, I think he's on sundays now, its really good. He posted me a load of his mix cds a while back for texting in to his show...Gent! I think it must be a different guy on 1extra coz he spells his name Seani B (who i think plays hip hop and rnb)

Seany B's produced quite a few classics by now: Make your move, Stompa, Bass and Conga, Deep in the sound. That bassjackers re-edit has been doing the rounds for ages now I think.

the tune is Kingdom 'Pathfinder' and you can d/L it for free here: http://downloads.pitchforkmedia.com/Kingdom - Pathfinder.mp3

Pathfinder is my favourite Kingdom tune by quite a bit - there were some good bits on the That Mystic EP too but nothing that grabbed me quite as much.

Was wondering if any London posters had made it down to Wifey yet? It sounds like a good night. Would be interested in hearing any reports as to what it's like. The one coming up on the 17th has Shantie and Ranking hosting, plus a set from the Engin-Ears, which for those who don't know is DJ Weeksy and Blu-Max. Weeksy in a club is one of those things I'd like to hear some time.

This is a decent show as well, nice wee interview and mix with Sunday Roast and Jook 10 about 2/3rds in. The MC they bring down with them - Repo I think? - is actually pretty decent too.

Doing radio again on Wednesday night, this will be a permanent fortnightly thing from now on, will post full details in the rolling thread soon.

Was wondering if any London posters had made it down to Wifey yet? It sounds like a good night, esp given what people were saying upthread about opportunities to see the top funky acts playing in London being a little thin on the ground at the moment. Would be interested in hearing any reports as to what it's like. The one coming up on the 17th has Shantie and Ranking hosting, plus a set from the Engin-Ears, which for those who don't know is DJ Weeksy and Blu-Max. It's an amazing tune, isn't it? Round about 2:30 it switches up into pure dance music heaven.

I went to Wifey last year a couple of times, back when it was at the Visions video store place - presume it's somewhere different now. Definitely good for catching some funky out, and in the intervening time the other options have decreased even further...
