What (if any) is the relationship between those who identify as alt/far right and psychedelic experiences? Also, what’s the age range for those here?

Honest, open question from someone who was surrounded by political intransigence for too long.

Big age range here. Constant escape is 22. Suspended Reason is in his 20s. Limbaugh is in his 20s. Mvuent is in his 20s. Version and third late 20s still I think, just about. Few people in their 30s. Shiels, corpsey. Padraig. Patty. I'm 41. Craner, Tea, Rich, vim, woops, all in their 40s. You, Sufi, Matthew, Eden, Reynolds, Jenks, Leo all 50s.

There are a range of ways psychedelics can imprint a right wing vision of the world. I've seen a few different permutations in my time. The earliest one I'm rememeber was this lad I worked with in Starbucks and psychedelics gave him the sense that life is a kind of game you can win if you're sort of spiritually and intellectually advanced enough. The barriers come down and suddenly you're driving a sports car, a blonde with big tits in the passenger seat.

That's the basic level. It's called the power of manfestation.

a lot of occult stuff psychedelia dovetails with is right wing. Solar phallic power worship. Racial typologies like those in Blavatsky. Triumph of the will. Men are men and women are women.

I’m curious because of psychedelics and their proven and consistent ability to move a personality to measurable (nooo, data and evidence) degrees of increased openness. I know from bitter experience they have the power to let in the darkness as well as the light. Summary, can these younger lads be assuaged by dosing.

Every Grapejuice piece I can remember reading has had at least some acknowledgement of this fact, but also says "Oh but you can also be into all this stuff and still be a nice, tolerant lefty like me, of course." And I've never quite found the exact bit of text that explains how. It strikes me that the occult is inherently right-wing because it necessarily involves considering yourself part of an elite, or at least, it involves reading certain texts, doing certain rituals and perhaps taking certain drugs that you hope will elevate you to this elite. It is, at any rate, not for the common man. That's why it's hidden in the first place.

(The secular/materialist version of this is the "I know something you don't know" appeal of conspiracy theories. So it's hardly a surprise there's a big crossover.)

Whenever I see someone making the lazy, hippyish argument that "There'd be no racism or war if we all just did shrooms, maaan", it makes me want to say "Please, read about the Aztec civilization".
