Theres prince obviously in there but I think that mostly reflects that its an american list. I dont think Prince became properly cool again until a bit later

The beatles revival in the 90s was absolutely massive. I didnt ever really hear them in the 80s when I was a kid but by the mid 90s they were unavoidable again

If Kurt Cobain had lived I'm not sure Nirvana wouldn't be making music that sounded like Foo Fighters or Nickelback.

Like, the Nirvana stuff I'm familiar with is obviously the personal sound of a troubled frontman, and the tone of the chorus'd guitars is incredible, but it's a real tightrope being walked along isn't it.

Their current all time list wouldn't look much different to that.

You can't help but admire the sheer doggedness, an infinite capacity for writing about Bowie/Hendrix/Zeppelin/Beatles/Paul Weller. They have about 20 cover stars who are just in constant rotation, it's amazing.
