There is a quote from the bible about taking the naive enthusiasm of the young and fucking them over for your own short term gains but i can't remember what it is

That could be an amazingly entertaining film. A speculative bubble in a mixed culture of utopian tech hipsters, cyber grifters and degenerate retail investors.

@luka you should have some STX rewards to claim at this interface, but I'm not sure if the amounts themselves are enough to cover the default transaction fees. If you let me know what the reward amounts are, I'll tell you how to lower the transaction fees so you can get your hard-earned STX.

So just connect your wallet in the upper right corner, as you did before. Make sure you're on the "stacking" page, and on the "claim rewards" tab. There should be a few boxes there that display the amount of STX you have earned for each cycle.

Very interesting new social media (-esque?) platform built on Polygon, by the developers of Aave, which is currently more or less the leading DeFi protocol.

Of course, this is horrible news for anyone against the gamification and financialization of online social spaces. If this takes off, which I may be willing to bet on, virtually every bit of online content could become monetizable and integratabtle with web3.

Yeah I don't mean "crazy" in the casual, positive sense. I think the anti-technocracy angst could reach a critical mass when/if this stuff goes mainstream.

I'm really into this stuff, but even I think maybe the brakes should be hit every so often. I just don't see that ever happening, short of governmental mandates and whatnot.

Lens is integrated with Mirror, because its Ethereum native presumably, but once we start entering the phase of interblockchain development (right now its seems marginal compared to what it certainly will become, but maybe I'm just not clued into the development front) Sigle would make a good integration as well.

Yeah it really gets at the sentiment (also re: that tweet someone shared recently here) about everything becoming "astroturfed" and subsumed into the financial system, due to the engine of financially-incentivized research and development, firms and individuals figuring out more efficient and competitive methods, etc. It seems deeply natural to me. Nature on hyperdrive via the prosthesis of conscious intelligence.

And this I think can be understood to have phases of critical masses, where the world is changing to quickly for people and they begin to vehemently oppose such development. Its also the basis for the mythologized and metaphysical critique of capitalism as seen in Nick Land and the like it seems. Could even have its roots in Marx. Even Smith thought in terms of higher order, emergent organization.

Whereas my frequent error is to frame such development as a primarily positive one, or even further to posit that such developments are destined for progress. It seems clear to me that the precedent indicates such, but to move from inference to teleology I think is a slippery and subtle transition into theological territory.
