i dunnno...maybe i haven't paid attention to recent night slugs stuff or something but a lot of it seemed to lack the swing of the earlier stuff. seemed kind of harsh, stiff, two-dimensional.

It sagged a bit in the middle. My only real complaint is that he didn't play Dark Hearts.

"Bok Bok - Midnight Stop" is the best track on the mix by a long way. Waiting for someone to get it on youtube. He plays if for a lot longer on the latest Night Slugs show though.

Really into BokBoks grimier productions. LViz's album by contrast, I literally couldnt listen to more than once. Dunno if other people were into it, but it wasnt my thing at all. Very hyped about Jam City's album tho I hear it's different.

got such conflicted feelings towards girl unit productions. he's got such a cool imagination, and the tunes are really nice initially but after a few plays they just leave me empty, like they've been perfected to the point that there's no soul or playfulness left in the tunes

Is this dubplate only? Will bother to check the Jam City album when it comes having heard this.

thats not too odd really, but I meant in terms of the groove, its all pretty straight - like the groove has quite a strong 16th beat emphasis throughout - not to take away from it.
