Obviously there was massive tactical voting, but that kind of scale is extraordinary. Labour got just 622 votes. Those are Screaming Lord Sutch kind of numbers. The average CLP membership is bigger than that (or was). Well, we'll see how they get on in Batley and Spen.

I think the Tories and Brexit lot will now feel they were right about him being a saboteur and Labour supporter all along.
