Wtf YT with age verification bs. Can’t I just browse wanton violence freely?
Yeah this completely blocks me cos I've lost my youtube password and it seems to be impossible to get a new one, it would be easier to hack someone's bank account than to break-in to my own yt account.

talk radio clamping down...

Cumulus Media, a talk radio company with a roster of popular right-wing personalities including Dan Bongino, Mark Levin and Ben Shapiro, has warned its hosts to steer clear of misinformation about election fraud.

Brian Philips, an executive vice president of Cumulus, sent the stern memo on Wednesday, the same day that a pro-Trump mob rampaged through the halls of Congress. Addressed to employees working in the company’s programming and talent divisions, including those at its syndication arm, Westwood One, the memo’s first section appeared in bold typeface, with many words capitalized for emphasis.

“We need to help induce national calm NOW,” the memo began.

“Cumulus and Westwood One will not tolerate any suggestion that the election has not ended,” it continued. “The election has resolved, there are no alternate acceptable ‘paths.’ Please inform your staffs that we have ZERO TOLERANCE for any suggestion otherwise. If you transgress this policy, you can expect to separate from the company immediately. There will be no dog-whistle talk about ‘stolen elections,’ ‘civil wars’ or any other language that infers violent public disobedience is warranted, ever.”

Cumulus owns and operates 416 stations across 86 markets, including WMAL in Washington, WNBM in New York and KABC in Los Angeles.

Ah yes, I saw this, apparently Shapiro hadn't actually claimed it was rigged but he got lumped in with them anyway cos he's such a prick.

I dunno much about this Dan Bongino guy, is he the one who posts every day on twitter a thing saying "A reminder that on [today's date] Barack Obama is still the most corrupt president the US has ever seen"? Either way, apparently he's a major investor in Parler and he's been on the news all day moaning about how he's going broke.

That is, would that be the political dimension of neoliberalism, here considered as the vaunting of the minimally regulated economy as its own end?

That’s what you call politics in general. Who do you think lobbies Putin?
But was politics significantly different before neoliberalism sank in ideologically? Like how recent is lobbying proper? I'm really not familiar with it.

Cause it seems like liberal economics developed in response to highly governmentally regulated economies, in which case I would imagine the causation between policy and economy was one-way, from the former to the latter, rather than two-way, which is now? Just wondering really.

And how things changed fro liberal to neoliberal, I don't know. It seems primarily ideological, with perhaps some critical implementations or policies that characteristically shifting economic reality?

Lobbying proper probably is relatively recent, as a profession, as opposed to just currying favour, bribes etc
