It was banging!!! Really good sound system! I've been constantly impressed with the quality of DJs out here actually, some really next level technical shit you just don't see in the UK. This guy Seiho was particularly mental: And later in the night there was a DJ going in with straight footwork battle tracks and a circle opened up and everyone started footworking! If you're around on Monday I'll be running a lot of Jackin at this!!

dunno why but that link just drops me off at my events page, whats the name of the event?

It's called 'GUM vol26' but I think the guy running it might have it on some weird setting where you have to have added him to see the event or something? I'll mention it to him.
In the meantime my facebook's http://www.facebook.com/thebesteverdeathmetalbandoutofdenton
and I'll shoot you an invite if you add me!!!
Anyone else here is free to add me BTW it's only facebook lol.

OH also!!!
Anyone in London would be >>>>MAD<<<< to miss this on Friday!

I know the guys who run Be Ready and their parties are always really good. They've done a lot of free parties across London and their crowds are very druggy and ravey. I like to take a likkle bit of credit for introducing some of them to Jackin ;) but their bookings are 150% on point (Cause & Affect and Hannah Wants!!!). The last party I went to before leaving the UK ( :( :( :( :( ) was at this venue and the bass was INSANE like stomach wobbling, powerful, almost painful (but not) heavy bass, and the music was only boring techno lol. I imagine seeing Jacking there would be quite an experience!!!

HAha, yeah man of course! Very safe guy! That's funny~

So listening to Tom Shorterz + Lorenzo's Rinse mix. Definitely not feeling the first half an hour but it does pick up after that. It does show off Marcus Nasty's skills though like, the tunes are all bit and stuff, but it definitely doesn't have his show's magic or energy... There's also a /hilarious/ amount of 2:31/Rainbow/Tom Shorterz/Cause&Affect product placement. Ain't nobody gonna forget who's show it is lol

Big up!!! Looking forward to dropping Jackin on the massive Heavysick Zero soundsystem!!!! I also second that Jp-ackin fans should definitely make their way to GollyGosh and Void which will be a lot of fun!!!

Pandiculate: Haha, know her from study abroad in Kyoto a few years back! Small world.

PPSSSST JACKIN FANS IN JAPAN, should we let on to the rest of the world that 100% of us are here on this thread, or should we use our overrepresentation to act as if it's some massive movement??

Really feeling this one:
http://www.bigtunesmp3.co.uk/tunes/i-could-be-the-one-by-alex-ross/

Pure euphoric/happy hardcore/cheesy vocals. Big bouncy bassline. Quintessential jackin banger!!!

Nice and wobbly! And I like when it brings in the cut up garage female vox towards the end of the sample!
http://www.bigtunesmp3.co.uk/tunes/...double-trouble-mix-by-harry-costas-the-greek/

The wub reminds me a lot of this old banger:

I love how Jackin manages to sound like every stage in the evolution of 4x4 UK Garage - 4x4 garage house -> Speed Garage -> Bassline - while still sounding like totally its own thing. It's like that Simon Reynold's quote about how with the 'nuum' you often get the sense listening to any song at any point in its evolution that it contains all the seeds for everything which came after it, and all the elements of everything before it.

Thanks for the links! But dang, bought all those Peter Grahams a while ago.
King of My Castle is an absolutely monster! Underrated IMHO

Love that Billy Kenny Romeo remix!

Also: Anyone who's good at writing/editing want to give my article a quick look over!!?

Safe G, really appreciate it! Inboxed~

BTW does anyone else really love all the names jackin producers give themselves

Darren Jackson, Wolverhampton UK----------------

aka-----------

Darren Jey (Darren Jackson)----------------
Jacked Up! (Darren Jackson and Chris Wadrup)------------
Silly Chip (Darren Jackson and Chris Wadrup)------------
Jack The Box (Darren Jackson)--------------
Him & Her (Darren Jey and Steph Wilson)--------------
Jack d\'Angers (Darren Jackson)----------
Funksoul Brother (Darren Jey)

Speaking of which, Mr. Jack d'Angers has produced a certified banger:
http://www.bigtunesmp3.co.uk/tunes/#/tunes/i-keep-thinkin-bigtunes-exclusive-by-jacques-dangers/

Love that donk! jeeez!! Beautifully emo chopped up, sped up (future) garage vocals. Reminds me a bit of Ace of Base or some of that other minor key 90s Euro house.

Something a bit rougher for the rudebwoys out there:
http://www.bigtunesmp3.co.uk/tunes/#/tunes/ruffman-bigtunes-exclusive-by-bliff/#
so many nice pops and glitches and bumps. Love the 'arabic' synths which come in here and there.

This might belong in the 130 thread, but since they've uploaded to bigtunes....

Shay & Sinister have uploaded a bunch of bangerz!

Warper:
http://www.bigtunesmp3.co.uk/tunes/#/tunes/incendiary-by-shay-sinista/#

Darkside funky, 2-step, grimy, bassline danger:
http://www.bigtunesmp3.co.uk/tunes/#/tunes/beyond-my-control-by-shay-sinista/
Loving the mentazm stabs!

My favorite of the bunch - big cheesy vocal, 90s piano house stabs, and then a gully ruffhouse Red Light sawtooth drop:
http://www.bigtunesmp3.co.uk/artists/shay-sinista/#/tunes/rise-by-shay-sinista/

The drop reminds me of this:
Which on mdma has the power to make you feel uncomfortably patriotic.

R U DONE MIXING YET?!?!?

free bassing. REALLY glad you linked the marc spence tune D - kept forgetting to try and find out who that 1 was by!! needless to say, banger.

not sure if this one got linked yet as went live on certified jackin about a month ago, but had this on last night and deemed it to be a bit of a monster. got that proper full on warehouse-vibes-meets-str8-base-jackin-swagger that makes lorenzo and kane effect together so daaaammmnnn good.

not had a chance to listen to this yet, but on an 'up north nuum' flex it looks like big boy bassline DJ EJ (from wolves...) has just put up a jackin mix.

https://soundcloud.com/ejfromwolves/dj-ej-twilight-jackin-house#utm_campaign=bulk&utm_content=track_notification&utm_medium=notification&utm_source=soundcloud&utm_term=20130409

looks like playing jackin out first time was a total 'off the cuff thing' for EJ as well. love a mix with a good story to it ;)

"As requested I have decided to upload the set that i played since i was surprised at how many people loved my set and wanted CD's off me! Obviously i didnt have any on me because i went there expecting to play 4x4 bassline lol! ... So after being 'thrown in the deep end' and doing 'pretty well' I am now back there once again by public demand"

finally listened to the 2.31 show today, first half hour was pretty boring house, last hour was pretty good, they should have brought Zanetti or someone with them though, an mc would have made it.
on that note does anyone have a jackin mix with mcs on it ? (apart from Marcus Nasty obvs)
