Doing these has been a very fun project to keep me occupied over the festive break (ended up with a fair amount of time of work) - will be giving it a rest for a little while now though....

quite the statement to make for some1 who was talking the most rubbish at the start of the thread

interested to know how you came to that conclusion, if you could elaborate without mentioning boddika it'd be appreciated..

There is just a bit more going on with the drums in a few more tracks I've heard recently. There is still a lot of plodding down right boring stuff around but now and again you get some skipping more frantic shuffling high hats and snares that roll a lot more, get some kind of hypnotic frantic sizzle going and are just more fun to me than so much of the stuff I heard from the scene over the years. It's a direction I'm more keen on, more fun drums, more energy and I'm more on board.

gonna check that jawn now^^

getting back into things, enjoying these 2 sets atm

this set by pathogen, pree the tune at 39:00, the gliding synths, the vocals, some perfect mutant grime house

literally those synths are straight from rapids computer

tune after it sounds like some mojukin madness as well, some fuckery techno thats danceable but weird as fuck

that tune is sick.

reminds me a lot of trixz cry for you, the way it's got a few choppy vocal lines, two synth riffs going and a load of weird fx noises poppin off everywhere. sounds a bit more polished but that might be down to studio progress. wonder if it's him

'cry for you' and 'stay the night', probs my fav 2 tunes of the year. could only dream of making such melodramatic tunes!

not really feelin the made you loook vip, a real swamp 81 electro vibe to it. not to knock the experimentation tho, its needed..

Bristol gang.

Bodynod have created an experimental offshoot called 'B-Tech' specialising in Deep Tech / UK Underground House.

For the first session we will be hosting The Tunnel at Response's forthcoming event with Duke Dumont at Motion in Bristol.

This is exciting ish for me.

I'm a fan of that. It's got energy, it skips, it's got bass, MCs fuck it up, it's what the deep tech crew thought they had for years, when they really had tech house 2.0.

Fuck yes more of that energy.
