i remember from chemistry lessons that if you fill a jar to the brim with water, the water will rise a tiny amount above the rim of the jar and that's called the meniscus. never heard that anatomical use before.

Well yeah, obviously, I just took the first meaning I found from Google. I didn't spend any more than 10 seconds looking into it.

Would you say that Olson's projective verse essay would be a good way of thinking about/reading Prynne's stuff? The poem as a 'field' with its own internal logic and all that stuff?
