There are powerful people in the world yes. So I did not say “Luka’s belief that there are powerful people in the world is nearly as annoying as Mr Tea repeatedly making shit up that he thinks people believe to suit his argument”

what is new, and a valid point of comparison with corbyn is that both represented an insurrection within the party structure which meant the opposition they faced came from within the partys they led as well as outside.

another thing which is new as i mentioned is the way the internet has become the primary battleground and the rules of engagement plus tactics are in a state of evolution, are also being negotiated and fought over. in the past tv/radio/print could have muted a president but that has never happened.

what i said was when people discover how democracy works they are shocked and appaled they think it is corrupt and undemocratic (it is) and illegal (it isnt)

Cadwalladr has been ordered to pay £62,000 in costs to Banks after withdrawing her defences of truth and limitation just one day before the next hearing in the case was scheduled to take place on Thursday morning.

of course at one level the reason corbyn lost two elections, the reason trump lost one election, the reason britain voted brexit is simply that, people who were free to vote any way they chose to voted the way they chose to. but that obscures all the money and manpower and ingenuity and organisation spent trying to ensure those results.

ie this

a well-funded cabal of powerful people, ranging across industries and ideologies, working together behind the scenes to influence perceptions, change rules and laws, steer media coverage and control the flow of information

Let's not forget that @john eden also believes in capital punishment. But to dismiss the idea that there are powerful people tending the strings regardless of religion, creed or colour is to have one's head firmly stuck up one's arse.

its the de facto liberal position. events just spontanously occur.

very often in an election both sides have powerful backers, big money and advanced intergrated party machinery, more so in america than here becasue the two sides are even less distinguishable there than here but again whats interesting about trump/corbyn is that that breaks down. they have their share of public support but without the requisite big boy backing

All told, Mr. Trump’s campaign and its shared committees with the R.N.C. had $251.4 million entering October, compared with the $432 million that Mr. Biden’s campaign and its joint accounts with the Democratic National Committee had in the bank.

Fortunes have reversed sharply from this spring, when Mr. Trump and the Republicans had nearly $190 million more in the bank than Mr. Biden and the Democrats did when he emerged as the presumptive Democratic nominee. Now, entering October, Mr. Biden had close to triple as much of the most flexible campaign dollars as the president.

they play a part dont they
It is possible that in the great battle of understanding or obscuring what I have written that there are powerful people on both sides. But as nobody seems to know this for real or can identify who they are there seems little point in talking about it except for the shits and giggles of conspiratorial Lols.
