What hurts most is, for me, he was the closest grime had to a musical genius - as aside from lyrical, or visionary - and to see him fucking that up...Actually I don't have anything more to say about it. *shakes head*

Someone upthread (can't rememer who, but someone knowledgable, mebbe Elijah?) said there was more to it than that, or words to that effect. It says on the beeb that he admitted the charge, tho

i feel really quite sad about this. he was one of the first people i ever interviewed, when he was about 16, and he was the sweetest guy... fuck knows what happened.

As I said before on here, dont believe everything you read. And he is appealing. The story is not as black and white as it has been reported. I was the final person to interview Maniac, and I was informed of the situation last year when it emerged. Its an awful case for all parties, but it is a developing case, im sure this wont be the last you hear of it.

I am trying to record all of my Grime records at the moment. 17 done so far and about 4 or 5 hundred left to go so its going to take me a while.

I've got some quality Flirta D vocals, an XTC tune off the Functions On Da D-Low 12" that I have never seen posted anywhere and loads more refixs to do next. I'm doing the more obscure stuff first before I get onto the Ruff Sqwad/Wiley/Skepta beats.

@ Blackdown. I have got the Menace To Music one as well which is the I Luv Ewoks version. This one has two different refixs on it but I only recorded the one version.

I bought Logan's version of Hoe and it is a recording of a dubplate that someone has pressed onto vinyl which I thought was a bit odd. Its got Dizzee's Wheel on the flip. The vinyl is in mint condition and then after a few seconds you get all of the hiss from a well used dub before the tune starts.

ha. kinda laughed a bit at the wonder one, not cos its bad, its not, just weird to hear it like that. are these brand new refixes then? not old ones? kinda nice to hear these in a way, for a sec you can imagine its 2003 again. :cool:
