a wonderful wooden reason
I think it's usually used to mean wimpy, thin, ineffectual.what exactly does it mean when something is described as "weedy"-sounding?

"there were gunshots at sidewinder for my tune"
erm, can anyone expand on this please? i'd quite like to know the details.
at people or just into the ceiling?
what's the name of the synth that is used on all those old electro records, and things like tom tom club's "wordyrappinghood"? The one that sounds like its really wobbly. But not in the same way a dubstep synth would wobble.
think it's a prophet 5 on wordy rappinghood
fair enough md! original records' too early to have been a dx7 tho, and Tina Weymouth played a prophet 5 on the Talking Heads stuff. I'll stop now...
shots were fired when skepta's 'pulse eskimo' was dropped at sidewinder... the tune later became known as 'gunshot riddim'... think that's it in a nutshell...
That gunshot rhythm (if it's the one with the gunshot sounds in it- youtube is blocked in work) is Big E-D's "Gunshot Rhythm".
There's audio of the Sidewinder in question flying about somewhere, I know it isn't on grimetapes but it was definitely on gf or vip2 recently because it's on my missus' computer. I'd up it but I'm currently in Liverpool as opposed to London so that's not happening right now.

Yo!
Croydon is in South London not West!
I'm looking forward to this a lot, it's going to be so big!
I don't produce dubstep however I do spin the odd dubstep record!
