in first half of the set there's some serious jagged 2step with real swagger! missing element in future garage...

heads up: DPR are reissuing the El-B remixes of Brandy (b/w "The Club", which was already on Roots of El-B so I don't see the point, but there you go). apparently it will be exclusive to DNRVinyl.

I presume this is all down to it being played on that Kode9/Burial set for Mary Anne Hobbs, right? I hadn't heard it for years until it popped up there, can't think it would have been on DPR's re-issue schedule otherwise. (Tellingly, all the versions I can find on youtube were uploaded after that mix was broadcast.)

It's nice that Noodles (he still runs DPR, right?) and El-B are making a few quid off the back of it, anyway. I'm pretty sure the original release sold very few copies (if I recall, the distributor was PDC, who seldom pressed in great quantities, and appeared to dispose of their metalwork thus rendering re-presses impossible) so it's good that some benefits can be reaped.
