I'm toying with the idea of getting one done too. Obviously what I'd have done would have to be a representation of something personally important to me (ie not a fucking dolphin), but I was interested to get more ideas of good/excellent tattoos that people have seen, both in terms of design and placing. I'm quite partial to the full design on the upper arm, but that may be due to an ex who had it done...and it looked damnably sexy for some reason....
