big up blackdown and dusk for playing grime on their show still...

i LOVE grime. i dont get all this 'it's fallen off' shit. plus some of it is the right kind of agression for our sets, once we've rolled out a bit, kinda the way 9 uses Warrior Queen/The Bug to unleash.

i find the sentiments in the wobble stuff terrible, like mms says, it's like a coked-up shirtboy screaming in your ear about how "Snatch" is the blueprint for his life. to me there's no contest: wobble comes across like it's trying too hard be hard, but i'm just like "real talk, you're not badder than riko, ghetts or goodz now are you?"

wobble comes across like it's trying too hard to be hard

Which is exactly where dubstep has gone wrong. 'Deep' certainly, 'Dark' yep, at times, but 'Hard' should never really come into it.
'Badman nah need Wobble fi kill the dance' as (unfortunately) no-one has ever said!

there are all sorts of actual emotions or even stuff in between, music doesn't have to be so one dimensional, dark, deep, hard are such non descriptions in a way, it seems for me that
the best dubstep is kinda been made by ppl who sidestep the genre, or take 7 breaths before they do something at least :), as i've said before, you know, with take martyn most people would casually describe that as dubstep, some people would probably describe it unfortunatley as intelligent dubstep, or whatever which is a mistake on their parts i would say, but he calls it martyn music.

I just dont know
do those guys have anything out yet? i got a couple of tracks off of them for a mix last year - great stuff and very different from most.

nah they don't have anything released which is a bit of a travesty in one sense but their sound is so different i guess its not that surprising. i absolutely love their stuff
