Realise I've not talked about the radio show for a while so here's a little plug combined with some of my usual navel-gazing.
As you may know over the last few months I've been doing a lot of oldschool sets for the shows because I've not really been feeling enthused about new tunes. Just recently my enthusiasm has picked up again and I've found some new tunes I'm happier with, but it's fair to say that not everything I'm playing these days could really be described as uk funky. A fair ammount of it is more things that carry on the vibes & ideas I liked from that but in a slightly different format.
So I'm on tonight at 8 and I'll have tunes from people like DJ Spookz, Funkystepz, DJ Tazer, Murlo, Major Notes, Gorgon City, Matt IQ, Miss Fire but also LV, Dark Sky, Martyn, Randomer, Blawan, Gremino, Zed Bias, Nguzunguzu, Brey, Redinho and a few more - during which some of you might want to go and make a cup of tea, I dunno. Would interested on any views on how people thing it works. I'm also trying to push the tempo up a little at the moment, not really for any major reason, prob just my hardcore/jungle fixation coming through as usual.
