Karnage and Riko have been up on Rinse quite a few times in Jan and Feb, the sets have been really good but people havent seemed to clock...

Indeed. New Sunday line-up is doing a lot as well, Spyro 3-5, Tubby 5-7, Marcus 7-9 (although he was moaning about that slot so who knows), Karnage 9-11. Maximum has 7-9 Tuesdays now as well.

God damn it, why was this necessary? I swear these guys have been ruining otherwise great line-ups since they started.

Sounds big though, will listen tonight. I was just thinking about how much I miss Roll Deep's line-up circa In At The Deep End. Probably my favourite crew in theory. Could've done without Jet Li and Manga though.

Trim and Scratchy are such a killer combo, I'm so glad they jumped on a set together again. Let's start a petition for the Trim and Scratch album.

by a country mile! is there anyone that even gets near to Wiley, Dizzee, Trim, Riko, JME, Skepta, Flowdan, Scratchy? NASTY have had similar talent (GH, KA, Newhams, Jammer, Terror...) but never at the same time.

D Double, Stormin, Sharkey Major, Nasty Jack, Armour, Hyper, Kano, Jammer and Mak10 all overlapped i reckon which is pretty amazing if not quite as good.

it gets personal at this point and for me, i'd always prefer roll deep.

on another note, Trim's Soul Food 4 is out now at UKRecordshop.com and limited to 1,000 CDs only. I'm told it's almost sold out on pre-order and is not getting a repress, so if you're a Trim fan...

surely the deciding factor: poltergeist relay or nasty bonanza?

actually roll deep maybe win on having both poltergeist relay and when im ere remix.

Lets not forget that Dizzee was attached to Nasty long before he was parring with Roll Deep, therefore their academy system is better.

Yeah i refer Roll Deep too. Maybe even the pre- JME / Skepta line-up, in my head they aren't Roll Deep proper if you know what i mean.

I like Wiley, Dizzee, Riko, Flodan, Trim n Scratch with Karnage on deck. When did Maximum get involved? And was Trim with Circle crew before he went Roll Deep? Grime's family trees...endless fun!

The lessers have done some ok verses (manga etc and i catually really like biggie pits track on Aim High 1 is it? If i could go back it's called.) but nothing of note really. I have an old set with Bubbles on too, can't forget him (Yeah, it's the wickedest ting / Roll Deep slash dot com styling). I also have a record he did..what became of him?

Hold on, we flippin forgot Roachee!!

I think what swings it for me for Roll Deep is that they are such personality-MCs, I mean Trim and Scratch are such a distinctive double-team, so much humour in their lyrics which guys like Armour and Hyper never had.

I don't really think of Kano as a personality-MC but then there is Double who is obviously one of the goats.

gens on logan tonight - interview with westwood was alriiiiiight last night (he spent most of the interview on dizzee!) but i think tonight will be better. after reading some of the stuff about SR/grime in the HCC thread, you have to rate these guys just for being one of the few with more of a push behind them (ie not ukrs-level indie) to really say (lets see if they actually walk the talk) they dont wanna do bait crossover tunes and flying the grime/underground sound flag with a bit of pride. most other artists just seem to accept it begrudgingly, but ngs are more like 'we dont even WANT to do radio friendly songs' which is an attitude id like to see more artists take. i suppose im just saying more next hype/slew dem, less take me back please lol (obv im pleased if stryder/skepta whoever do well, tho im not totally sold on the idea that it creates more interest in the scene, per se, it just seems to create more opps for guys from the scene to make records like sing for me or whatever).
