i am and funny enough there was another track with Kurupt on it that i was thinking of putting in here (puffin on blunts & drankin tanqueray) but had to sidestep it

I guess my thing is i haven't listened to that lot in a long time and haven't much of a reason to outside of a few tracks but yeah they're great

Those pods are great if you're into graf. It's behind the scenes stories to guys you saw up but never knew the details. I accept this is of limited interest but if you're in that demographic it's manna from heaven.
yeah i listened to a load of these wandering around town over the last year, the graffiti ones are generally great. there's a us equivalent called boilerroom brooklyn or something like that, but its nowhere near as good and there's only a few graffiti ones.

Viktor vaughn is Doom right? Yeah I really like this one. I've not listened to loads of Doom, but almost everything of his that I have listened to I like. I like his slowish flow, the storytelling aspect, the simplicity in the beat. In fact, I'm sure he's done a similar tune to this one before, a duet, that I posted in the thread we had for him.

this one's brilliant - apani b's on good form

"I caught him sneekin' peeks at my breasts While frontin', name droppin' connects"

He sort of squares the circle Doom, he's not aggy gangsta, but nor is he trying to be too clever or conscious, he's got that crucial oddball surreal side. I love that one kode9 remixed, air.

The Coup. I never heard of them but this sounds very West Coast G funk era type sound. Like it. Party tune with a good hook and decent rap.

the coup were always held up as paragons of righteousness becasue they had mainstream politics (marxist). the main guy writes sitcoms for telly now

mate that track is funky but i wouldn't call it a "party" tune its a 7 minute story

surely you MUST have an opinion on that ? cause when you check what he's talking about ain't nothing to party about inna di tune lol

last i checked he directed and wrote that Sorry to bother you ting, if he did TV aswell then that's news to me (looking it up turns out he did the score for an episode of the Simpsons)

Boots Riley is alright man he looks like the kind of brother who back in the 70s you see with the Black Panthers handing out turkeys to the people around Christmas time

Yes you are right some kind of serious morality story about a fella called jesus who's a pimp and his mum is one of jesus' girls. Not a party tune at all. I was fooled by the tune.
