They got Mountbatten and Maxwell so fingers crossed.Boris Johnson assassinated on his yacht, rumours of alien involvement 2035
my guess is that Leo is wrong and that there is no going back to normal. I think that the stagehands are shifting the scenery around as we speak and when this is over the world we return to will be quite different. that's my guess. but of course none of us have the feinest idea. how could we? we're nothing people.
really
We cannot agree on where we stand now.I'm going to put a reminder on my calendar for February 10, 2030 and we'll all see where we stand.
slightly concerned that could be more next ten years than early 20s of xxiv.new and unique music becomes impossible to compose 2323
Right. Because I'm cheering on "clos[ing] down the entire world economy and irreparably torn the social fabric", am I?Fuck your what aboutism. Typical liberal misdirection.
The opioid crisis is bad (and largely due to fentanyl imports from China in a bold reversal of the opium wars), but there's a bigger one going on that has <tea mode>checks notes... closed down the entire world economy and irreparably torn the social fabric</tea mode>
I have to wonder how the government could achieve any more control than they have already, or what good it would do them. The state already has a monopoly on violence, and unlike America, the only people here who own guns are either farmers or gangsters. They know everything we're thinking about because most of us broadcast it on social media for all to see, before you even consider actual surveillance.i dont think anyone is suggesting lockdown forever. just as a tool kept in the population control toolbox
I see what you're saying but I think assuming that they're thinking that far ahead is giving them too much credit. I think they just don't give a fuck and are more interested in making money for themselves and their mates while they can. Whatever happens in 20, 30 years time is immaterial, since it'll be the little people who actually suffer, as usual.all of that is true enough which is why i keep saying it all depends on what is around the next corner. if everything is due to stay the same, no resource squeeze, no land squeeze, no mass unemployment, no catastrophic climate change, no massive displacement of peopes etc then what you say holds.
