Mr. Tea
Let's Talk About Ceps
Or you could pay Dr. Shaman Medicine Man $500/week for his special "detoxifying" herbs and potions.
If I'm paying $500 for some herbs, I'd want to get properly fucking toxified off them!

You can take all the supplements you want, but anyone who knows anything about chemistry or the human metabolism will tell you, that crap is being pawned off by an industry with a high stake in whether you believe a human will actually absorb 10,000% of the RDA of two hundred vitamins and minerals from a pill (or powder, or shake, or whatever.)

If I go longer than 10 days without a cheeseburger I become irritable.
actually, if you wanna get to the nitty gritty, the question is more complicated. because the act of COOKING kills most of the good and healthy things in anything you eat, including meat. raw beef is indeed a very healthy source of protein and energy, but a human body needs very, very little of it -- like i said, size of your thumb a week.
a burger does not "give you energy". only thing it does is slow you down, and weaken your system. well, and taste good.
that's because your body is used to it -- i.e. addicted.
Anyone want to chip in some boozeFUL cold remedies for comparison? When I worked at a liquor store my coworkers swore by the tried and true method of half a pint of Old Granddad 100-proof whiskey, curling up under a blanket, and "sweating it out."
Hey, don't get testy! If you're going to try to tell people that basic biochemistry is "false", be prepared to be laughed at.
What exactly does "mixed for absorption" mean? These are things that I can't help but wonder..
If your herbal remedies work for you, that's fine, but never underestimate the power of the placebo.
The calorie is a unit of energy. A steak has more calories in it than a plate of greens. Therefore, it provides more energy. This energy is easily quantifiable and years and years of clinical trials would bear it out.
I brought up the fact that fasting has effects on many influential chemicals that act on your mood as a partial and obviously speculative explanation for why someone who is on an entirely liquid diet would feel more energy. Anybody who suddenly stops eating and eats below their normal calorie intake might feel that way.
Make sure you get angry at the thought that other people disagree with your approach to health, that is surely healthy.
cross my heart hope to die - if i had a reason for lying about this i don't know what it might be:
i had much more, and longer lasting, physical (and mental) energy while fasting than when i am eating.
i guess the bottom line is that the above is near or completely impossible for people to process and believe.
you are groundlessly invalidating what i have gained from experience, and denying things i know about from experience, based on deep seated prejudices and common stereotypes. and continue to use condescending language to mock and ridicule. this is why I was a bit annoyed. and not because anyone disagrees with my approach.
and oh GOD zhao I don't believe you just posted that Lamonte Young thing on yr blog, how fucking amazing thangyouthangyouthangyou
First, are you reading what I actually said about fasting? What I said actually CONFIRMS your anecdotal experience, rather than denying it.
Second, I am not groundlessly invalidating anything based on "stereotypes" or "prejudices", I am disagreeing with the idea that homeopathy is scientifically legitimate.
if your super fasting gives you so much long lasting energy and doesnt do any harm to your body, why did you stop after a month and a half?? surely you would want to continue this miracle??
