QAnon, the anti-vaxx movement, the 5G hysteria and so on are what happen when fundamentally conservative white people dimly start to understand that they're being dicked over by the very rich, but recoil in horror from anything that smacks of socialism, so they get sucked into (far) right politics instead. It's a mutant form of anti-capitalism, which makes people very vulnerable to being manipulated by certain kinds of capitalists (Trump, Farage, whoever) while projecting all the world's ills onto certain others (Gates, Soros).

OK, I didn't say it was exclusively white people, but there does seem to be a slant in that direction, and the people who are the most vocal proponents/leaders of these various movements seem to be overwhelmingly white.
I would hazard a guess that Mr Confederate Flag, who I mentioned earlier, is probably white!

you're getting confused. my "they're just not very bright" remark was a response Rich's comment about the QAnon tweet Tea posted, not the Winter Oak article Sufi posted. To that one, my response was the A-Team clip, which is relevant because the author ("a special correspondent") of that piece skillfully ties together about a dozen disparate threads into a single cohesive, incontrovertible global narrative that would be bleeding obvious to anyone if they just opened their eyes and stopped being such sheeple.
