i think a false negative is quite common, but a false positive sounds weird
it sounds weird but according to sufi's telegraph link

at five per cent prevalence - not too dissimilar to the current 1 in 15 cases in England estimated by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) - we would still expect between 10 per cent and six per cent of symptomatic lateral flow positives to be false.

But what I want to know is what are the odds of a series of these results being false positives because it's picking up something real but other than covid, rather than it being a momentary glitch
